About Me

It's me again!

I don't know about you, but my brain works best when it can work with bullet points. Here's a bit of a background about myself and my practice:

 - I used to be Marissa Carter, but married the love of my life and gladly accepted his last name (Charles Maxham). We are high school sweethearts, a military family, and dog parents to a husky and a boxer.

- I attended school at Indiana State University. While I struggled to pick between Exercise Science and Athletic Training as my major, I knew I would minor in Massage Therapy. Thankfully, it was a clear decision that neither major options would fulfill me. I abandoned both and stuck with massage. Later, I enrolled in Physical Therapy Assistant school to get the best of both worlds. Currently, I am in my last year of PTA school!

- Within this year, I have a goal to run and finish a full marathon.  In 2018, I ran two 1/2 marathons and believe it is time to really commit and go hard!

-When I was just 6 years old, I wanted to open my own spa. I would set up all my lotions and rub each family member's back. This little store (I called it "Pamper Palace") quickly became a life-long dream! 

-I am a major coffee addict. I like to start every day with a (BIG) cup of joe, especially before a run!
