Swedish Massage

60 minutes: $55
45 minutes: $45
30 minutes: $35

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Within the time frames, massages can be altered to be full-body or focus on few specific areas of the body. Communication is always the key to getting the most from a massage. You have the freedom to manage our time together, in order to give you the maximum benefits!

Chair Massage

Chair massages are a frequent sale; 10 minutes for $8. Watch my facebook page for updates on when they will be coming near you!  In addition, chair massages can also be used a fundraiser! Contact me for more details!

With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes: $70
40 min minutes: $40

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

I offer two lengths of Deep Tissue Massages: 60 and 40 minutes. Both are catered to individual needs. 60 minutes are more commonly used for a full-body approach, granting all muscles a time to breathe.  Yet, the 40 minute option seems to be the most beneficial for ones desiring relief in a specific region of the body.

Thai Massage

75 minutes: $90

Thai massage is more energizing and rigorous than most other forms of massage therapy. It's also called Thai Yoga massage, because I use my hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like postures and stretches. My clients say Thai massage is like doing yoga without doing any of the work. No oil is applied, so you are fully dressed during the session. A single Thai massage session will help you release stress and relieve pain, and help you function more effectively at work and home.

Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy

30 minutes: $20 (upper body only)
Full Body minutes: $55

Founded by Erik Dalton, Myoskeletal Alignment (MAT) brings about a new sense of massage to the area. This session composes of stretches, pulls, and pushes to restore the cranial and sacrum bases. Soft tissue from the hips to the neck is worked to reset the foundation of the pelvis and level the head again.

This may sound similar a chiropractor's manipulation but is NOT a form of adjustment. Simply put, MAT sessions focus on releasing muscles instead of the spine. Yet, the manual therapy and neuromuscular re-education aim to further benefit the work of the chiropractor.

For these sessions, you will be required to be fully clothed. Athletic attire is most appropriate, as it grants room for stretches to be performed without restriction. Please be sure to drink plenty of water before and after and keep in mind mild soreness may occur post session.

Upper Body MAT focused on the head, neck, and shoulders. Clients with a constant muscle pulling benefit the most from these types of massages. Stretching and movement help to ease the tightness and re-teach the muscle where and when to fire.

Full Body MAT expands to include the hips, spine, and all other joints of the body. To make sure sufficient work has been done, 60 minutes is allotted.

IASTM

Flat rate: $10

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a popular form of massage. Although we call each instrument a "tool," a piece of stainless steel is cleverly crafted to fit around the awkward joints in the body. This becomes beneficial when muscles surrounding joints become tight and bound down.  IASTM provides benefits to both the client and the massage therapist, as extra pressure can be added to release muscles/fascia while saving the strain on the massage therapist.

As far as IASTM is offered, I currently use RockBlades. In the near future, I hope to expand and utilize Graston Technique.

(Note: I have completed and obtain certification in both IASTM forms.)

Corporate/Fundraisers

Take a day to reward employees, staff, and facility by bringing in 10-15 minute chair massages. Though individuals will relax during the session, the employer reaps the benefits as massage will increase productivity, creativity, reduce desk rage, and lower absenteeism. After the massage, workers may find they make better decisions, have an easier time focusing, and are able to think more clearly (Sagear, Kyle-Brown, 2008).

Using massage as a fundraiser allows participants to receive a massage and allow proceeds to go towards the desired organization. Fundraisers can utilize chair or table massages and typically range $1/minute.  (Prices can be set by the selected organization.)

* Please book corporate/fundraising 1-4 weeks prior to the event.

* 2-4 hour time slots are available.

* Contact Marissa Maxham for price details and schedules.
